I think the call back system is a good one however not so good when your own doctor is not on duty and you have to talk with a different doctor. I do worry that notes are not read beforehand and so they are not up to speed with everything when doing the callback but perhaps I am wrong on this

I do not like the present practice of having to wait for a doctor to return your call before they decide if you need an appointment or not. I think it would be helpful to be able to book an appointment online, as offered by other practices.

When your named Dr leaves you should be made a where of this before he has gone not when he has ran ship. When both partners have a long term medical condition both should have the same named Dr as what impacts one can have an effect on the other. It can take time to build up a trust with your Dr in the last 4 yrs I am now trying to build a relationship with my 3rd GP.

I rang for an appointment and the receptionist Julie said I would be rang back in 2 hours but never happened when rang back no one knew anything about it. I now have a new doctor but have never seen her, have spoken on phone. I have numerous critical conditions and feel she should at least see me once to get to know me so that any further problems, she will be more aware of my situation, previous doctor took the time out to find out about my illnesses and after that phoned me up 6 monthly for catch ups. there is no personal contact with your allocated doctor anymore. It is very hard to build up a patient/doctor relationship when your doctor leaves and a new one starts as you have to start from the beginning again. Do you realise how difficult and hard this is on long term illness patients. I do understand that doctors do leave.

The receptionists are always very pleasant and helpful. I have always been able to get a same day appointment when necessary. I like the text message service. The doctor, nurses and healthcare assistants are very thorough and always take time to ensure I understand what treatment I need and explaining the outcome of test results.
